My idea is only to remind the people that we all are from the same origin. But on a simpler level humor will play a large part of this project. How can i learn the true art that is self-control? how do i become one of them? My feelings are dominated by the sweet need of a woman's touch. I wanna walk with someone. Have i lost myself? have i lost what makes me loved, by wanting touch too much.
But anyways my project is to create a paradox of enviroments. To show elephant and castle in a new light. Two entirley different eco-systems to clash. This involves me to travel to a contrasting place. This will be a country side surroundings. A form of pirate art that attacks the men and women who are at the beginning of the river at the top of the mountain. These are the fellows who end up selling out their rich green land for property development. Not fully responsible as the modern UK farmer suffers from the mass production and ultimate cheaper prices of other less developed countries. I am not entirely sure whether this is a good idea to demonstrate to these people.
Maybe to attack an enviroment such a woodlands. Using images of envrioments from E&C with intense words such as "Ready or not here we Fucking come!"
This falls away from the oringal idea of redevelopment, yet I feel in the bigger picture it is the most important point. The city will prevail. The natural planet is fucked as we are consumers devouring it all.
To me, the statement at the top resides to the fact originally us, as humans we came from the ocean, evolved from water creatures. Meaning as a city, it is just another movement in the state of human evolution. Or devolution of who we were........

Redevelopment

Intervention:interposition or interference of one state in the affairs of another. The redevelopment of city scapes is constant. Shanghai is the world's largest building site as money and future promise flows throguh the streets. Elephant and Castle is the next stage on renewing a modern London. Before hand such areas have been redeveloped, most importantly the docklands. A dead area that has become one of the most important business areas in london. Canary Warf. For me a very inportant redvelopment, is in my home area of Portsmouth. i live in the counrtside outside of the village Denmead and over the past six years they have proposed a build of 20,000 plus houses that link Denmead to the neighbouring Town of Waterlooville. This is a terrible influence that humanity has on nature. The way the living metropolis is alive and slowly eating up the earth. It imposes a huge threat. Subconciously one will possibly will walk a certain direction knowing there is saftey. A certain monotonus human reaction to go to the usual. Fear is the unknown. With the dedication to routine and time in life, one will again deligate their walk to structure i.e. have to return at a certain time therefore knowing how long one will be out for. To be free and so to truely drift, one has to eliminate these final constants that are so ever present in our lives. Therefore one must leave their conventionl head. To go beyond and as far and as free as an impulse, random. Walk down the dark alley............. into the black.......... and become lost...... awaken non-jaded............. childlike and new.
With my knowledge of the area it is hard to truley get lost. However there can always be new ways in which the same place or subject can be seen.
